It took your support tech 45 min to identify my laptop.The laptop body and box label both had the same three numbers on them: a model, serial and the third marked PIN on box and P/N on the laptop. The "product identifier" the tech needed to find the unit in the database differed by a single digit from the PIN. 1. Please fix such discrepancies both name tag and value. 2. I should only need the model number to download the user manual.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kadee from 2 weeks and have to restore from the cloud Have had the laptop for about 2 weeks and the touch screen stopped working. Called HP Support and when all was said and done he asked me if I had a flash drive. I did but it's packed with things I can't lose. I asked why I needed a flash drive. He said we had to program it and retrieve what the laptop needs from the cloud. So in less than two weeks we have to retrieve something from the cloud to restore the laptop. What could possibly be missing What possibly could have happened and how much stuff could I have in the cloud on a new laptop. Then I was told they would mail me a flashdrive and told me I had to pay for it. What?! Told him I don't think so. Just spent over 1000.00 2 weeks ago and Iam not paying to repair it. It's under warranty I told him I'll just box it up and send it back he talked to a manager who waived the 30.00 some odd dollars for the flashdrive and told me I could pay postage. Nope was my response to that. Said it would be here in 2-3 days. Still don't have it. In the meantime I have no touch screen and Iam very leary of what else is wrong with it at this point. Next call is HP warranty because I do not want a laptop that starts off needing to be restored in 2 weeks. It is a bad way to start out and I have no desire to see what other problems it has down the road.

I chose a 3 year warranty. I did not receive an email as indicated in the original purchase invoice. I had to call & get got disconnected once & called back getting transferred 3 times before a supervisor finally sent the email. Then I received no help with the download. They were just to busy to help their customer.

Living in a motorhome full time meant that light weight and small footprint were beneficial. Shopped all around since it was Black Friday, and came back to HP website as it had the best deal. 15.6" Envy with OLED screen is perfect. Nice touchpad feel with a beautiful screen. Good backlighting on keyboard works well.
