Originally I though Envy 13 would be too small.. but love the size and portability.. Nice how the screen size is maximized.. Surprisingly great horsepower for image and digial paint work .

Upgrade?
I got this laptop as a replacement to one that was stolen last year. My first computer was a previous version of the same model. Although comparing is a bit unfair since I did opt for the better mods on the new one, the actual hardware itself is a down grade. The previous model had the power button on the side that made waking it up easier when using it in tablet mode. Another down side is the usb ports of which there are only two, one of which is a retractable one that increases the odds of something breaking. And I would feel uncomfortable leaving a longtern usb(BT mouse) connected to it. And now i have to use my ss port for that instead.

Good so far!
Rating this a 5 so far since I've not had to use it, but I LOVE the idea that if I don't use it, I can be reimbursed the premium (a special that was running when I bought the laptop). Great marketing tool!

User Friendly
I bought a laptop about a month ago and I am so happy I did! The letters on the keys a large, therefore easier to use. The interface is also extremely user friendly.

Computer failure!
I bought this computer and it was delivered the last week of Dec. All was fine until today, January 23. With only a few hours of home use, not business, it will not start. The light showing charge is on white, and it's been plugged in almost the whole 3 1/2 weeks. Push the on button and it won't light up. Now I have to figure out how to get it running and fixed. Many of my files have already been transferred and programs installed. Not happy.

Great product - amazingly easy to configure
Big HP fan - this Spectre is a power house - a little disappointed that it's a little "fatter" than my prior HP - seems to be a function of the more pronounced keys on the keyboard - not a major issue - all other functions / performance are as good as I'd hoped for

Best if not needed but piece of mind.
It is best if it is not needed. However, there is an issue ... HP wanted me to upgrade my warranty and it seems it is already upgraded. They don't seem to be talking to one another.

warranty should start of the laptop delivery date
I am glad that I got this discounted but find it ridiculous that it starts on the day of purchase. My warranty has already started and I haven’t received the laptop yet. So it has been useless so far.

Too much separation of duties, but time will tell
apparently i need to activate this after receiving my new laptop, which seems kind of strange but given that the unit arrived DOA... The support person tried to sell me the care pack a second time which was troubling but after reminding them I already had it they let it go and just encouraged me to activate it, which I cannot do.

Don't take what the representative says on phone
I bought my computer on Cyber Monday and shopped around. I bought the HP for the price and this care pack. I receive the computer and need help with a set up feature within 30 minutes of receiving the computer. The rep on the phone says that will cost you. I asked about guidance on installing software, again, the rep said that will cost you. I feel like I bought a package only good if the laptop is dropped, NOTHING else!!!!

Good Value
I have had my HP Envy for 1 week now. I am mostly happy with my purchase. The Black Friday weeks sales help me make my decision. The screen resolution is great, the machine is fast (Ryzen 7, 16GB memory, 512GB SSD). The only thing I am disappointed in is that the Envy does not have an IR camera anymore, so you cant use facial recognition to log in. My daughter bought an Envy 2 years ago and back then it did have an IR camera, I never expected that they would remove it.
