I purchased this printer as gift for a friend who lives in small apartment with limited space for computer equipment. She is thrilled with it as her budget wouldn't permit her to make such a purchase. I was sure this printer would be long term reliable as I have been a happy HP customer with all HP equipment for over 20 years.

Double what I was promised.

the hp envy 60055e has no software down load to get the one i got today at office depot. it isn't even listed in the printers on line. what gives? i also found out the HP isn't supporting windows 7,8 or 8.9!

Should I leave this printer turned on all the time or should I power down between jobs?
If you have it setup with either HP+ and/or Instant Ink, you will want to keep it on at all times and connected to the internet as that is part of the requirement for those services. It does tend to help with the printer maintenance to leave them on even when not in use.

Can you print from camera memory card

If your computer does have a slot for your memory card, you can use an external USB media card reader. You can choose to print from the computer. Or you can copy the photos to a smartphone or tablet, then you can print them.
