I purchased this printer as gift for a friend who lives in small apartment with limited space for computer equipment. She is thrilled with it as her budget wouldn't permit her to make such a purchase. I was sure this printer would be long term reliable as I have been a happy HP customer with all HP equipment for over 20 years.

Double what I was promised.

does this scan more than 1 sheet at a time?

If you want the capability to scan up to 35 pages at a time, I recommend looking at the HP Envy 6455e printer. The HP Envy 6455e printer has the ADF (Auto Document Feeder) on top for scanning or copying up to 35 pages at a time.

After purchasing a different computer I am unable to connect with wifi on my HPEnvy 6055 printer. I can still print with it but have lost the wireless capability plus I am also enrolled In theHP ink program. Iam concerned that HP will shut me down.

If you connect the HP Envy 6055e printer to your WiFi network, you will be able to print from more than one computer and mobile device. Can it print single checks?
All HP printers are capable of printing names and dollar amounts on premade check paper, you will just need to use check printing software for proper formatting. However, if you need to print full checks yourself, your bank will likely require the use of magnetic ink character recognition (MICR), which would require a modified HP printer and MICR ink/toner.

Having a HARD time connecting my HP ENVY 6055e to my WIFI hotspot when on the road and my laptop is connected via hardwire. I set it up next to my laptop but coworkers use it via WIFI. Do I need to remove cord and use WIFI too?

Wireless Direct (WiFi Direct) allows you to directly connect to a printer from a mobile device or computer without the need for internet access or a wireless network. You would connect to the printer’s wireless direct signal just like you would connect to a wireless network. The printer would have a unique name in your wireless connections, i.e. Direct-04-Printer. I really have started to dislike this printer. If I don't use it for a couple of days it will say it is connected to the printer and printing but doesn't actually print. I am constantly having to restart and add to my mesh wi-fi.
