I purchased this printer as gift for a friend who lives in small apartment with limited space for computer equipment. She is thrilled with it as her budget wouldn't permit her to make such a purchase. I was sure this printer would be long term reliable as I have been a happy HP customer with all HP equipment for over 20 years.

Double what I was promised.

i had my first 6000 series for a year and a half before it started jamming it was unfixable; the second started jamming within 3 weeks. It was just eating paper instead of printing. What is the problem?

is there a way to turn the printer off? i dont use it daily . what will happen if i unplug it?
If you opted-in for HP+ during the setup or started an Instant Ink account, turning the printer off will be an issue as it needs to be on and connected to the internet for those features to work properly. The power button is on the back of the printer right above the power connection if you would like to turn off the unit.

Can I print Avery labels on here? I have a small business and want a simple printer for shipping labels and product labels.
Thanks for your question! The HP Envy 6055e will support paper weights of up to 80 pounds. The Avery labels should be fine with this printer. Be sure to only fill the paper tray to about 50% capacity when printing labels.

All HP printers are capable of printing names and dollar amounts on premade check paper, you will just need to use check printing software for proper formatting. However, if you need to print full checks yourself, your bank will likely require the use of magnetic ink character recognition (MICR), which would require a modified HP printer and MICR ink/toner.
