I recently purchased the HP LaserJet 4001 printer for home use, and I'd like to share my impressions. First and foremost, I want to highlight its high printing speed. The printer handles tasks very quickly, printing up to 40 pages per minute. This is particularly convenient when you need to print large documents or several reports in a short amount of time. In a home setting, this speed is a pleasant surprise.
The print quality is also excellent. All documents come out clear and readable, thanks to the 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. This is very important for printing term papers, reports, or simple text documents where good readability is required. The printer connects easily via USB and Ethernet, providing stable and reliable connections. Although I miss the wireless connectivity, the wired connection has proven to be convenient enough.
However, there are a few drawbacks to note. The printer is monochrome, so sometimes you might want to print something in color, like photos or colorful school documents, but this printer can't handle those tasks. It's quite large and takes up a lot of space, so finding a suitable spot for it in a small apartment wasn't easy. Additionally, it can be quite noisy when printing, which can be disruptive if you need to maintain quiet at home.
Another downside is the cost of consumables. Original HP cartridges are quite expensive, and although they are designed for high volume printing, you still need to consider these costs. Overall, the HP LaserJet 4001 is an excellent printer for home use if you need fast and high-quality black-and-white printing. It is ideal for printing documents, reports, and other text materials. Lighting fast
I had a older printer that took probably 5 minutes to print something off and this new printer is lighting fast. Setup was pretty easy to do and quick. And it looks great sitting in my dining room. I sell alot of stuff so I mainly need it to print off tables however I print off a variety of things and it works amazing and like I said before extremely fast. I love that it has two print off points and is easy to load.

IDEAL SMALL OFFICE USE
The printer is compact, lightweight and easy to unbox. This product is ideal for my home office, and the printing quality and speed was average. The paper trays hold quite a lot of paper. However, I am not impressed with this printer as it took forever to set up wirelessly which was frustrating. The IP address displayed on the control did not match to allow for easy setup. The HP Smart Wizard was of not help whatsoever.
I would have loved if they had included the cables as part of the package with the printer as an option.

Perfect for my needs!
I am a Social Worker who works primarily at home. I've found myself needing to print a lot of documents and realized that I needed something more heavy-duty than my ink jet printer, so I decided to give this one a try. I am pleased to say that it has exceeded my expectations! After a super simple setup, I am easily able to quickly print out documents and run out the door without having to worry about running out of ink every two seconds. It's always ready without having to warm up unlike my previous printer that seemed to take ages to get prepared to print the first document. I highly recommend this to anyone needing something to step up their home office game!

Great Offiice Jet Printer
I recieved my printer over a month ago and set it up immediately. It was nicely packaged ensuring it was in perfect condition when it arrived. The instructions for setup were simple and easy to follow. I had the printer setup in less than five minutes. The printer works fantastically with my computer. The only thing I didn't like about it was you can't print wirelessly. I didn't notice it wasn't wireless or blue tooth compatible when I purchased it. I didn't look for it either so it was my fault for sure so the printer still gets five stars.

This printer is very simple to use and it is very much straight forward. To change the toner is also very easy as it just slides out and you can just install by sliding in. The toner last a while and it is of good quality. I like that it does not make that much noise and that it prints pretty quick. This is definitely a printer for everyday use.

Quick and Efficient
I am impressed with performance of this HP LaserJet Pro 4001n printer. This is my first time owning a LaserJet printer and I'm enjoying the experience.
It was easy to unbox and set up. It came with the power cord and instructions. The drivers and software can easily be downloaded from the HP support website. I happened to have a USB-A to USB-B 2.0 cable to connect it to my computer. Once installed, it is easy to send a print job and print. It prints black and white and processes jobs very fast. There is not much delay between clicking print and having a finished job on the printer. I like how it's not too big or bulky and it's easy to carry or move. It seems fairly economical with toner preservation, so I anticipate doing a lot of printing before having to replace the toner. I'm hoping to use the printer for a very long time.

I like this printer
I like this printer it works great. The only thing that I didn't like was you have to have it plugged into the Internet to connect to it. It prints fast. Had a hard time connecting to the Internet it doesn't like to connect we had to mess with the settings and fix them to connect to print. It only prints in black and white. It has lots of ink which I love. The prints come out really nice looking. My family has been looking for a printer. My kids love coloring pages. My husband has to print things for work. I have to print things for work. We do so much printing. I struggled setting this printer up it wouldn't detect the printer. My husband messed around for a long time getting this going but it's well worth the print quality.

Great Home Office Printer
I found it extremely easy to set up and start printer it took less than 15 minutes to go from box to printing. This was a great addition to my home office and to replace my worn out printer I found it to be fast and quite and the quality of the print was great.Having a ink jet was becoming expensive to use also the size of the tray and the amount of prints means I will be going to the office supply store less often. Right balance of quality and price
The first minor annoyance is that it doesn't come with the USB cable needed to complete setup, so you'll have to scramble to find one. The actual setup is fairly easy, and the quality and speed of printing are very good. The printer is also much quieter than its counterparts, and also has a good sized print tray all of which make for a very good overall experience. The extra ink is an added bonus so you won't be spending money on print supplies for a few weeks.

Better than expected..
I am a die-hard HP fan and I always will be. I have never had a printer of this caliber ever. I never even looked further down the line past the basic printers. I am glad I got this one I did. When I do print business things, I like the way that this works. It's not noisy but you know it's working. It prints really fast and I like how the paper comes out on the top. I have worked with bigger printers before where you add the paper at the bottom and it works just like this one, but I have not personally had one for myself. I am really excited about this printer. It is the perfect size for a small business. I don't print very often and this is perfect for me, and my small business, and with me being a college student as well this comes in handy when I do have to print. This is a great bye for personal use as well as a small business. It all depends on how much you are printing and your needs for print. A definite must have printer!

Improved Work from home life!
This printer is very high quality. Easy to use and set up. The printing is clear and quick. I enjoy that it is not crazy loud because as a WFH mom sometimes my son is asleep while I am working and I am usually scared to use the printer in fear of waking him up. Very impress little printer it's light weight only like 19 pounds which I can handle it myself, I love this laserjet printer knowing it will help me save alot of money on ink and toners. Plus this printer runs very very fast, love it and my daughter love it too for her coloring book collection on drawing books.

Good working printer
THE PRINTER WAS EASY TO SET UP. remove the packaging materials and turn it on. (I tend to not print out the alignment sheet because it burns through the color ink). The printer has a cycling glowing purple light and it sleeps in a low blue light with a green light on the side. I just turn the printer off when not in use. It has a button for color copies and a button for black and white copies. A cancel button, and an info button--no display, it's very basic. Print quality is much better than expected. print speed also better than expected. I will say the spooling time is significantly shorter than I'm used too (big win). It's a bit on the loud side if you have a home office like me, but not so much so that it wrecks my day. on that note the quiet mode in the settings did help with that.

Pluses and Minuses
It is fast, easy to operate and produces excellent text. Occasionally, it doesn’t respond when wirelessly directed to print. And I wish I could see on my iPad or iPhone some indication that it was responding to a print job as I am often in another room. I also wish it could load more paper as I frequently have to reload it. But its pluses far outweigh its minuses. I’m generally very happy with it.
