Do not expect very much.
When I found out how just how difficult it was to open the pen to insert a battery. I actually had to place the pen into a small desk vise to hold one section so I could use both my hands to turn the other section. When I finally got it to open, and I tried to insert the battery I found that the barrel was distorted just enough that the battery would not slide into the pen.
At that point even when I got a brand new battery into this pen I was not able to get the pen to do anything. So I decided to place the pen into the round file and get on with my life.
I classified this Pen as JUNK.
I do not rate items very often. My rating was1 star but an actual rating for this item should have been minus 5 stars

The pen is very useful, Although I don't use it for artistic purposes, it is nice to have on deck when I'm running programs that require fine movement and highly-sensitive adjustments.

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, the HP QA forum does not have information on other manufacturers' PCs. This HP MPP 1.51 Pen will be compatible with any Windows Ink device that is MPP 1.51 compatible or later. Please visit Acer support to confirm your PC has this standard.

The 1.51 MPP will work with that unit. You can also use the 2.0 MPP Rechargeable Tilt Pen if you would like one with more features and higher precision.
