Pricey Ink Cartridges.
So far so good. I was trying to get away from the cartridges. They say the ink in the wells will last for 2 years. I guess we will see. Anyway, the ink will cost around $35 instead of $200. I was enrolled in the instant ink program, but they do not offer it for the ink well printers.

Very, Very Pleased!
Very short time between ordering and delivery. No damage upon receipt. Easy set with Smart app. Everything works just as advertised. Love the feature of ink tanks! Haven't tried the print capability from my phone or tablet yet, but look forward to using that very much, and soon.

AWESOME SO FAR!
So far, I love this printer. We started off to a rocky start, but after some research and speaking with HP support things are going well. It was a little quirky trying to get it to set up correctly with wifi. I had to download the driver a couple times to get my computer to find it. The scan procedure instructions were a little blurry and I had trouble getting the HP Smart app to install in my computer. After that finally happened, I could figure out how to use that feature. Again, the installation and user guides were a little wonky. I especially love the two sided feature, it is effortless other than selecting it in your printer options when you go to print. I work as a volunteer for my church and it will save us on paper.
I noticed from the start that it made a squeaking noise that got progressively worse. After I used it for a couple of days, I decided it was not going to go away and reached out to support via online chat. I was disconnected twice and finally gave up. To my surprise, a few minutes later I received a phone call from HP support. I forgot her name, but she was very helpful and told me exactly what to do. I scoffed to myself that it made no sense and was not likely to work - but it did!! So, when you read in the support forums that you need to unplug it and wait a few minutes and plug it back in for it to reset - just do it. Thanks again HP Support. They even made a follow up call the next day to ensure all was going smoothly.

I did a lot of research when I decided to buy a new printer. Even though I’ve only had the printer for a short time, I love it. Quality is good, an it’s fast. Setup is a breeze. I give it 5 stars.

Production output is now matched with a printer.
This unit was pretty easy to set up . The instructions were simple to follow . Connection to the house network was a breeze and everyone had access. This will be much better than the older unit it replaced since the number of prints have already outpaced the abilities of it.

Excellent printer and very good app. It got 4/5 stars only because I had some issues setting it up over Bluetooth and because the speed (especially for printing color pages) could be higher. Overall, it is a solid option and it is rather compact for what it offers

Very Happy with the HP 7301
Easy to set up on all of our computers and devices. Love the scanning features. Print quality seems fine. I no longer have to worry about printing in color due to the price of ink cartridges. This printer is super easy to use too.

it started out great
easy set up. it seemed like just a few minutes and the printer was ready. I had some print jobs in the next few days and there were some glitches--jams, crushed paper, and then....SMART PRINT. I was totally unable to print things when I went into a meeting yesterday. no idea what happened but everything ended up in the queue....I turned the presentation over to my colleague on Zoom. I think I have shut off the SMART function and hope the other glitches resolve. Good print speed and excellent print quality.

I love this printer! The color and quality is great. The print speed is good for my purposes. The ink tanks are easy to fill and not messy. Set up was easy. I use this printer for personal use and a small business. I've had so much fun (I know, I'm a nerd) printing since I got it.

HP Smart Tank 7301: Excellent Printer
I have had this printer for about 2 to 3 weeks now, and the printer works as expected with minimal to no printing issues over Wi-Fi. The initial setup of the printer was somewhat annoying due to the HP Smart app. The HP Smart app had saved the wrong Wi-Fi password in the autofill option, which resulted in having to reset the printer to factory settings in order to restart the Wi-Fi setup process in the HP Smart app. The factory reset was the annoying part because I had to find that solution online, which I eventually did through a HP customer service support video, entitled "Unable to Connect Wi-Fi | Printer Not Found | HP Smart Tank 670 720 750 6000 7000 7300 | @HPSupport." After figuring out the solution, I manually inserted the password on HP Smart app instead of autofilling the password, and everything worked perfectly. I love that the HP Smart app can report the current levels of both ink and paper supply. The HP Smart app also has the ability to scan directly from the app as well as a few other nifty, miscellaneous features. I was also initially disappointed that the printer did not have a touchscreen or analog menu, but the HP Smart app basically does everything that you would need from a touchscreen or analog menu, so it is really a minor inconvenience. Overall, the printer is great. I bought the HP Smart Tank printer over the Epson Ecotank printer because of the reliability of a HP printer, my familiarity with HP printers, and the ease of customer support. I would recommend this printer to family and friends, especially since the printer is more environmentally friendly and can save money and time when compared to inkjet printers that use annoying ink cartridges.

Love it, but wireless clarity function is needed!
I love the design and the cost for the printer is amazing. The only minor issue is we found the directions in some portions to be a little unclear as it relates to wireless configuration.

Do any of the HP smart tank printers offer duplex scanning?
Hello. Thanks for your question. The current HP Smart Tank printers do not have the capability to do duplex scanning. We recommend looking at the HP Officejet Pro 9015e or 9025e printers, which do have the capability to do automatic duplex scanning.
