Great monitor
I received few days ago the monitor HP U28 4K HDR. The installation is well documented and very easy. I appreciated that all cable connectors were part of the package.
There are 3 possible connectors, HDMI (same as for a TV), Display Port and USB-C, so except if your computer is an antic there should be no problem to connect it. You can also charge your devices with the 3 USBs available in the back. That is great if you connect like me a laptop which has only 2 USBs already in use (BT keyboard and external drive). I also like how easy it is to move the screen in different positions.
It is a big screen but it is actually very nice when working with a lot a different windows at the same time and you can watch videos or play video games without being frustrated by the size.
The resolution is great and the colors are awesome. I really appreciate all the color pre-sets, you do not need to find setting trade-off. You can change very quickly to the appropriate mode in few clicks thank to the pads in the back of the screen.
Conclusion: great monitor really compatible with difference usage.

Perfect for my new home office
This monitors picture quality is beautiful and perfect for my new home office. I received my monitor recently and I was so please with the size and appearance. Set up was super easy and took all of 10 mins. HDMI and DP cords included. The monitor sits on an adjustable stand which is a big plus for me as a taller than average person. It can be adjusted up/down and tilted as well. Better ergonomically. The picture is corner to corner and clear as day. Great picture quality. 60 Hz and the picture response is fast but probably not the fastest response time if you are hoping to use the monitor for gaming.
Overall, great high quality 4K monitor. I would definitely recommend.

Wow! Why did I wait so long?
Love my new monitor! Compared to the one I was using, I feel that I can have multiple screens open at one time. It was easy to set up. I don’t know why I haven’t upsized before now!! I’m enjoying it more each day!

This monitor has exceeded my expectations, the video quality of uhr 4k is absolutely phenomenal, if you're a gamer or want to stream shows this monitor is the way to go. I love the ports on the monitor as well 1 HDMI 2.0; 2 USB Type-C™ (DisplayPort™ 1.2, power delivery up to 65 W); 1 DisplayPort™ 1.2; 3 USB-A 3.1 Gen .
I would highly recommend this monitor.

Gorgeous Monitor!
This is a luxurious monitor. The 28 inch size leaves plenty of room for windows galore. The multiple options for input are really handy, and the monitor includes the necessary cables. Very nice touch. I'm using USB-C with a MacBook Pro in clamshell mode and it works like a charm.

Absolutely Breathtaking!
The picture quality of this monitor is AMAZING! My daughter was the one to test it out with her computer and I doubt I’ll be getting it back now. She says it’s an absolutely wonderful piece of tech. Especially since you can rotate the screen mattering on how you want it to sit on your computer stand. Absolutely amazing!

Gorgeous Monitor
I had pretty high expectations for this monitor and I think it definitely delivers. It’s quite large, so if your intention is to use it as a second monitor, just make sure you have the space for it. For me, I use it as my primary display because it’s large enough to have several windows open side by side at a time. I did have to adjust my Mac’s display settings to scale the picture down a bit, since the font was tiny. The picture is gorgeous and there are multiple different settings. I currently have the photography setting chosen and seeing my wallpaper on my mac’s retina screen, vs the HP monitor, I can definitely tell a difference. With the HP monitor the sunlight in my wallpaper literally looks real. It’s crazy.
Setup was super easy. You simply attach the flat metal base to the arm piece and then tighten the screw using the little loop around it (see photo). No screwdriver needed and it looks like it’ll be really easy to disassemble when moving. Once the base is put together, you just click it in place in the back of the monitor. There’s even a little quick release button for disassembly. The base is very sturdy and there is rubber on the very bottom, so that it doesn’t move when you swivel the monitor. The base also allows the monitor to glide up and down very easily.
I was pleasantly surprised that it came with 3 different cords (HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort). I currently have both the HDMI and USB-C plugged in, so that I can easily swap between my two computers. The monitor automatically senses which one is plugged in and you can turn that off in the settings, but I don’t know why you would want to.
To change the settings on the monitor, there’s a little joystick in the back that brings up a menu. There are several USB ports and an audio port that I haven’t yet used, but will probably come in handy.
I will say that I don’t use the 90 degree turn feature, but if you will be using it, you just have to tilt the monitor before you turn it. Otherwise, there isn’t enough clearance at the bottom to turn it all the way. Regardless, this monitor is pretty awesome.

I use my HP U28 4K HDR monitor I just have one word for it WOW HP monitor has a lot of I love that the monitor swivels also the quality of the monitor is great . The 4K picture is amazing I can't say enough about the HP I recommend you go out and get one you won't be disappointed .... Wow

Good Value, Great for Office and Personal Use
I had been looking for a 27/28-inch 4K display with USB-C and HDR. Having previously used the Z27, this new product immediately came to my attention as a worthy successor. HDR is a good addition for media consumption and gaming. I find the contrast and brightness more than sufficient for long stretches of office use. The display works well with macOS, which is my primary use case. The control joystick at the back is a little uncommon, but it doesn't take long to get used to. Overall, I believe this is currently one of the best 4K monitors of this size. I have faced no issues so far with over a month of use.

Clean design
I was on the market for a 4k monitor and was annoyed at how many monitors didn’t have the ability to swivel, adjust height or rotate without and expensive attachment. HP built these features right into the stand! Amazing! The stand is solid, the movement of the monitor feels great! The 4k monitor is crisp and the colors vibrant. The io in the back has everything you’d ever want! Got a pc, got a Mac, have a usb-c? No problem! I love not having to use adapters! Overall a great product at a great price!

Back of brand new monitor scratched.
The monitor purchased has incredible features, really excited about the product. Although, upon unboxing the back of the monitor had a deep scratch near the input chords. Quality control needs improvement.

Got this monitor yesterday. I got this as a second monitor to my existing HP Z27 monitor. Quality of text and web pages is better than HP z27. It is very light weight and I love the base. I am having some glitches with connection over USB C to MacBook Pro.

Had it for a few weeks and it works great. I hooked it up to my laptop HP ZBOOK 17 G6 to the HDMI works great because my laptop is 4k .

Great product!
Great quality panel, perfect size, just the right ports and excellent color accuracy. Just wish the menu control was under the monitor instead of behind it for people with a multi monitor setup.

Does this monitor display UHD at 50Hz? I have some UHD Samsung Monitors that will only accept UHD at 30 and 60Hz, so need to be sure 50Hz works before purchase.

I have a motherboard which can power the screen through the USB-C upto 35w. Can I power this monitor through the UBB-C concurrently woth the display?
Thank you for your question! The HP U28 4K HDR Monitor draws the power for the display from the included AC adapter. The HP U28 4K HDR Monitor can then keep a laptop charged, if the laptop has the proper USB-C Power Delivery Port, via the built-in USB-C ports. The USB-C ports on the monitor deliver power to other devices.
