HP Docking station for my HP laptop

The dock has worked well since I got it. I use two monitors, a wired keyboard & mouse, and a scanner. The only issue has been it doesn't power my laptop so I have to plug the laptop and the dock into outlets at the same time.

Like every dock, this one also frequently disconnects and leaves you in a state of limbo where you must fully restart your laptop to get your monitors to work again.

Convenient, sleek, compact and well-equipped with ports, the HP USB-C Dock G5 is a great dock for port-poor laptops and multi-device desk setups for any professional. It's not the cheapest dock out there, but still more affordable than some similarly decked docks, so will be a good pro option for both PC and Mac users.

How do I get the dual screens to work I have 2 hp monitors and only one is working so I need to hook up both to the dock station for them to work.

Does this docking station charge the HP Z book laptop while it's connected?
This HP Dock is compatible with HP PCs with an available USB type-C™ port. Laptops must be able to support USB-C™ power, video, data, and/or Thunderbolt™ industry standards. Without knowing the exact model number of the HP ZBook it is impossible to give a 100% positive answer. However, if there is a symbol of a lightning bolt (Thunderbolt 3) next to the USB-C port on your laptop, then you can use this port to charge and the Dock will charge your laptop.

However, for USB-C® functionality, the host PC must support the DisplayPort™ Alt mode protocol through its USB-C® port. Thunderbolt™-enabled notebooks will function at USB-C® speeds. Charging and port replication is supported on notebooks that have implemented USB-C® industry specifications. Power button to turn on or wake the system, on HP notebooks. HP does not provide Ethernet and audio drivers on Mac PCs.

If you don't have a legacy model PC to use the Dock the HP USB-C G5 Dock is your best choice. However, if you do have a legacy model then the HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 is your best choice.

I used this G5 station with my Elite book and 2 monitors. I have just changed to a Zbook15, I was using an HDMI and a DisplayPort cable. Now when I plug in the Z book, it does get power and usb devices plugged into docking station connect except monitors.
